Spraypainted removal

An anonymous group of critical artists placed a statue of President Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein holding hands at the National Mall. The National Park Service removed the statue 4 days prior to the expiration date of its permit. “The statue was removed because it was not compliant with the permit issued,” Interior Department spokeswoman Elizabeth Peace said in an email to the Washington Post. She did not respond to follow-up questions about how or why the statue was not in compliance or if the department had provided the required 24-hour written notice before revoking the permit.

The 12-foot-tall statue, spray-painted bronze and titled “Best Friends Forever,” depicted Trump and Epstein holding hands and each with one foot raised behind them. A plaque at the base of the installation read, “We celebrate the long-lasting bond between President Donald J. Trump and his ‘closest friend,’ Jeffrey Epstein.” According to The Washington Post several sculptures have been installed since last October, but this is the first time that the government has acted to remove one.

So much for free speech unless it is coming from the right. Let's get it in the Smithsonian after 2028!
